Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 18A:18A-27.1
- Bid threshold: means the dollar amount set in N. See New Jersey Statutes 18A:18A-2
- Department: means the State Department of Education. See New Jersey Statutes 18A:1-1
- District: means and includes any local school district, consolidated school district, regional school district, county vocational school and any other board of education or other similar body other than the State board, established under the provisions of Title 18A of the New Jersey Statutes. See New Jersey Statutes 18A:18A-2
- Employee: includes the holder of any position or employment. See New Jersey Statutes 18A:1-1
- person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of N.J.S. 18A:18A-5 or any other section of law to the contrary, any person who performs construction management services for a school facilities project constructed by a school district, which services have a cost in excess of the bid threshold amount specified in N.J.S.18A:18A-3, shall be prequalified by the Division of Property Management and Construction in the Department of the Treasury. This requirement shall not apply to construction management services performed by a full-time employee of a school district.
