Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 18A:64A-25.31

  • Board: means the board of education. See New Jersey Statutes 18A:1-1
  • County college: means an educational institution established or to be established by one or more counties, offering programs of instruction, extending not more than two years beyond the high school, which may include but need not be limited to specialized or comprehensive curriculums, including college credit transfer courses, terminal courses in the liberal arts and sciences, and technical institute type programs.   • person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. Any county college may enter into an agreement indemnifying the United States of America or any board, body, officer or agency thereof from any liability for loss or damage to the person or property of others resulting from any project undertaken or to be undertaken by the federal government for the benefit of such county college or any project the cost of which or any part thereof is to be paid out of federal funds.
