Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 2C:43-3.6

  • person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. 11. a. In addition to any fine, fee, assessment or penalty authorized under the provisions of Title 2C of the New Jersey Statutes, a person convicted of a sex offense, as defined in section 2 of P.L.1994, c. 133 (C. 2C:7-2), shall be assessed a penalty of $800 for each such offense.

b. All penalties provided for in this section, collected as provided for the collection of fines and restitutions in section 3 of P.L.1979, c.396 (C. 2C:46-4), shall be forwarded to the Department of the Treasury to be deposited in the “Statewide Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Program Fund” established pursuant to section 12 of P.L.2001, c.81 (C. 52:4B-59).
