Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 45:12B-25

  • person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. 25. A person who violates any provision of this act shall be subject to a penalty of $200 for the first offense and $500 for each subsequent offense, to be sued for and recovered by and in the name of the board pursuant to the provisions of “the penalty enforcement law” (N.J.S. 2A:58-1 et seq.).

If any person practices or attempts to practice orthotics or prosthetics or holds himself or herself out as being able to practice orthotics or prosthetics in violation of section 17 of this act, each day during which the violation continues shall constitute an additional, separate, and distinct offense for the purposes of this section.
