Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 45:5A-11.2

  • person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. 4. a. On and after the effective date of P.L.2021, c.479 (C. 45:5A-11.7 et al.), any person desiring to be licensed as a Class A journeyman electrician shall make application to the board to be so licensed and shall pay all the fees required in connection therewith, which fees shall be established, prescribed or changed by the board to the extent necessary to defray all proper expenses incurred by the board to administer the provisions of P.L.2001, c.21 (C. 45:5A-11.1 et al.). Fees shall not be fixed at a level, however, that will raise amounts in excess of the amount estimated to be so required.

b. On and after the effective date of P.L.2021, c.479 (C. 45:5A-11.7 et al.), any person desiring to be licensed as a Class A electrical apprentice enrolled in an electrical contractor’s apprenticeship program accredited and approved by the United States Department of Labor shall make an application to the board to be so licensed and shall pay all the fees required in connection therewith, which fees shall be established, prescribed or changed by the board to the extent necessary to defray all proper expenses incurred by the board to administer the provisions of P.L.2018, c.155. Fees shall not be fixed at a level, however, that will raise amounts in excess of the amount estimated to be so required.
