Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 45:5A-27.1

  • person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. 22. Any person certified to engage in the fire protection contractor business pursuant to P.L.2001, c.289 (C. 52:27D-25n et al.) whose certificate of certification is not in good standing with the Commissioner of Community Affairs shall not be eligible for a license to engage in the fire alarm business under the provisions of section 1 of P.L.1995, c.213 (C. 45:5A-9.1).
