Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 45:9-14.6

  • person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. A person holding a valid license issued in due course by virtue of the provisions of an act entitled “An act to regulate the practice of chiropractic,” approved March third, one thousand nine hundred and twenty (L.1920, c. 4, p. 15), or any acts supplementary thereto or amendatory thereof, shall be authorized to continue to practice pursuant to said license as though the act under which said license had been issued had not been repealed.
