Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 45:9-37.45

  • Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
  • person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. 11. On payment to the board of the application fee as provided in section 14 of P.L.1984, c.203 (C. 45:9-37.48), and upon approval of a written application or application for renewal, as the case may be, on forms provided by the board, the board shall issue, without examination, a license to any person who:

a. (Deleted by amendment, P.L.2001, c.156).

b. Is licensed, certified or registered as an athletic trainer in any other state or territory of the United States or the District of Columbia, if the requirements for licensure, certification or registration were at the time of the applicant’s licensure, certification or registration equivalent to or in excess of the requirements of this act at the date of application for the license as shall be determined by the board in consultation with the committee; or

c. Is employed in or is a resident of this State and presents evidence of being certified by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification, Inc., or its successor organization, as an athletic trainer; or

d. Is licensed as an athletic trainer pursuant to the provisions of P.L.1984, c.203 (C. 45:9-37.35 et seq.) and makes a timely application for renewal, as determined by the board, prior to the expiration of his biennial license.
