As used in this Article, unless otherwise specified:

(1) “Long-term care facility” means a nursing home as defined in N.C. Gen. Stat. § 131E-101(6) and an adult care home as defined in N.C. Gen. Stat. § 131D-2.1(3) or N.C. Gen. Stat. § 131E-101(4).

Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 131E-231

(2) “Resident” means a person who has been admitted to a long-term care facility.

(3) “Respondent” means the person or entity holding a license pursuant to N.C. Gen. Stat. § 131E-102 or N.C. Gen.
