Subject to the provisions of this Article, the provisions of N.C. Gen. Stat. § 135-9, entitled “Exemption from taxes, garnishment, attachment, etc.”; N.C. Gen. Stat. § 135-10, entitled “Protection against fraud”; N.C. Gen. Stat. § 135-10.1, entitled “Failure to Respond”; and N.C. Gen.
