Subject to the provisions of this Article, the provisions of N.C. Gen. Stat. § 135-9, entitled “Exemption from taxes, garnishment, attachment, etc.”; N.C. Gen. Stat. § 135-10, entitled “Protection against fraud”; N.C. Gen. Stat. § 135-10.1, entitled “Failure to Respond”; and N.C. Gen. Stat. § 135-17, entitled “Facility of payment” shall be applicable to this Article and to benefits paid pursuant to the provisions of this Article. ?(1987, c. 738, s. 29(q); 2005-91, s. 7; 2012-185, s. 3(b); 2013-288, s. 8.)

- Attachment: A procedure by which a person's property is seized to pay judgments levied by the court.
