Actions brought pursuant to N.C. Gen. Stat. § 143-318.16 or N.C. Gen. Stat. § 143-318.16A shall be set down for immediate hearing, and subsequent proceedings in such actions shall be accorded priority by the trial and appellate courts. (1993 (Reg. Sess., 1994), c. 570, s. 4.)
