Article 8 of Chapter 143 of the N.C. Gen. Stat. applies to a construction contract of an Authority. An Authority may solicit bids on the basis of separate specifications for the branches or work described in N.C. Gen. Stat. § 143-128(a) and on a single-prime contract basis and accept the lowest bid. (1995, c. 458, s. 1.)
