Ohio Code 1711.05 – Annual financial report and report of proceedings
Every county agricultural society annually shall do all of the following:

- agriculture: includes farming; ranching; aquaculture; algaculture meaning the farming of algae; apiculture and related apicultural activities, production of honey, beeswax, honeycomb, and other related products; horticulture; viticulture, winemaking, and related activities; animal husbandry, including, but not limited to, the care and raising of livestock, equine, and fur-bearing animals; poultry husbandry and the production of poultry and poultry products; dairy production; the production of field crops, tobacco, fruits, vegetables, nursery stock, ornamental shrubs, ornamental trees, flowers, sod, or mushrooms; timber; pasturage; any combination of the foregoing; the processing, drying, storage, and marketing of agricultural products when those activities are conducted in conjunction with, but are secondary to, such husbandry or production; and any additions or modifications to the foregoing made by the director of agriculture by rule adopted in accordance with Chapter 119 of the Revised Code. - Person: includes an individual, corporation, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, and association. See Ohio Code 1.59
(A) Make a report of its proceedings during the year;
(B) File a financial report, in accordance with section 117.38 of the Revised Code and forward it to the director of agriculture at or before the annual meeting of the directors of the society with the director of agriculture, as provided for in section 1711.06 of the Revised Code. No payment after such date shall be made from the county treasury to such society unless a certificate from the director is presented to the county auditor showing that the report has been made;
(C) Publish an announcement in either a newspaper of general circulation in the county or on the society’s web site for not less than two weeks that contains all of the following:
(1) A statement indicating that the annual financial report has been filed in accordance with division (B) of this section;
(2) A statement indicating that any person who wishes to obtain a copy of the report may contact the treasurer of the society;
(3) The treasurer of the society’s contact information that a person may use to obtain a copy of the report.
