(1) The elected sheriffs of this state shall establish and maintain a website where legal notices under ORS § 18.860 to 18.993 may be posted. The sheriffs may enter into an intergovernmental agreement for establishing and maintaining the website.

Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 18.926

  • Execution: means enforcement of the money award portion of a judgment or enforcement of a judgment requiring delivery of the possession or sale of specific real or personal property, by means of writs of execution, writs of garnishment and other statutory or common law writs or remedies that may be available under the law. See Oregon Statutes 18.005

(2) An intergovernmental agreement entered into under this section may establish fees for posting legal notices on a website maintained under this section.

(3) For the purpose of determining whether a legal notice has been posted for the period of time required by law, an interruption of service of a website maintained under this section that does not exceed 48 hours does not affect the continuity of the posting. An interruption of service of a website maintained under this section does not prevent the sheriff from conducting an execution sale unless the court orders otherwise.
