If a city solicits statements of consent under ORS § 222.170 from electors and owners of land in order to facilitate annexation of unincorporated territory to the city, the city shall, upon request, provide to those electors and owners information on that city’s ad valorem tax levied for its current fiscal year expressed as the rate per thousand dollars of assessed valuation, a description of services the city generally provides its residents and owners of property within the city and such other information as the city considers relevant to the impact of annexation on land within the unincorporated territory within which statements of consent are being solicited.   • City: includes any incorporated village or town. See Oregon Statutes 174.100
  • Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
