The amendments to ORS § 222.210, 222.230, 222.240 and 222.270 made by chapter 702, Oregon Laws 1985, do not apply in territory subject to the jurisdiction of a local government boundary commission. [1985 c.702 § 27]

Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 222.179

  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
  • local government: means all cities, counties and local service districts located in this state, and all administrative subdivisions of those cities, counties and local service districts. See Oregon Statutes 174.116

 

222.179 was enacted into law by the Legislative Assembly but was not added to or made a part of ORS Chapter 222 or any series therein by legislative action. See Preface to Oregon Revised Statutes for further explanation.
