No person, state agency, local government, district or municipal corporation shall construct, and no officer or agency of the state shall issue any permit for the construction of any hydroelectric facility or structure on the Deschutes River between river mile 172 below Lava Island Falls and river mile 227 below but not including Wickiup Dam. Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 543.165

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • local government: means all cities, counties and local service districts located in this state, and all administrative subdivisions of those cities, counties and local service districts. See Oregon Statutes 174.116
  • Person: includes individuals, corporations, associations, firms, partnerships, limited liability companies and joint stock companies. See Oregon Statutes 174.100
