(a) A person who holds a license shall notify the department, in writing, of the regular address of the place or places where he or she engages or intends to engage in the fitting or the sale of hearing aids.
Terms Used In Rhode Island General Laws 5-49-10
- Department: means the department of health. See Rhode Island General Laws 5-49-1
- in writing: include printing, engraving, lithographing, and photo-lithographing, and all other representations of words in letters of the usual form. See Rhode Island General Laws 43-3-16
- License: means a license issued by the state under this chapter to hearing aid dealers and fitters. See Rhode Island General Laws 5-49-1
- person: may be construed to extend to and include co-partnerships and bodies corporate and politic. See Rhode Island General Laws 43-3-6
- sale: means any transfer of title or of the right to use by lease, bailment, or any other contract, excluding wholesale transactions with distributors or dealers. See Rhode Island General Laws 5-49-1
(b) The department shall keep a record of the place of business of licensees.
(c) Any notice required to be given by the department to a person who holds a license shall be mailed to him or her, by certified mail, at the address of the last place of business that he or she has provided the department.
