Every person taking a license pursuant to § 5-2-10 shall pay to the city or town treasurer of the city or town granting the license a sum to be fixed by the city or town council granting the license of not less than ten dollars ($10.00) nor more than two hundred dollars ($200), one half (½) of that amount to the use of the town or city and one half (½) of that amount to the use of the state.
