A registered foreign limited liability partnership shall deliver to the secretary of state for filing an amendment to its foreign registration statement if there is a change in:
(1) The name of the partnership;
(2) The alternate name adopted pursuant to § 7-12.1-1006(a);
(3) The address required by § 7-12.1-1003(6).

- Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
- Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
- State: means a state of the United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the United States Virgin Islands, or any territory or insular possession subject to the jurisdiction of the United States. See Rhode Island General Laws 7-12.1-102
