- warehouseman: as used in this article , is defined as any person engaged in the business of selling leaf tobacco at auction for a commission or for any other consideration or any employee of such person. See South Carolina Code 39-19-420
Any person who shall give a fictitious or false name to a warehouseman or cooperative marketing association or shall fail to give to a warehouseman or cooperative marketing association the name of the true owner of such leaf tobacco or the person from whom such tobacco was obtained or the grower and landlord, as required by § 39-19-430, upon delivering the tobacco, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
