Terms Used In South Carolina Code 40-60-90

  • Board: means the South Carolina Real Estate Appraisers Board established pursuant to the provisions of this chapter. See South Carolina Code 40-60-20
  • Presiding officer: A majority-party Senator who presides over the Senate and is charged with maintaining order and decorum, recognizing Members to speak, and interpreting the Senate's rules, practices and precedents.
  • Testimony: Evidence presented orally by witnesses during trials or before grand juries.
In addition to the powers and duties enumerated in § 40-1-90, the presiding officer of the board may administer oaths when taking testimony upon any and all matters pertaining to the business or duties of the board.
