Terms Used In South Carolina Code 46-49-70

  • Conviction: A judgement of guilt against a criminal defendant.
  • Person: means an individual, partnership, corporation, association, or other business entity. See South Carolina Code 46-49-10
Any person violating any provision of this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, must be punished by a fine of not less than twenty-five dollars nor more than two hundred dollars or by imprisonment for not more than thirty days, and each day during which the violation continues is considered a separate violation.
