Terms Used In South Carolina Code 55-9-50
- Gift: A voluntary transfer or conveyance of property without consideration, or for less than full and adequate consideration based on fair market value.
The governing bodies of the several counties of this State may acquire land by gift, purchase, or condemnation for the purpose of building, constructing and maintaining airports. The provisions of §§ 55-9-70 to 55-9-180 shall not apply to land that may be acquired under the provisions of this section.
