Terms Used In South Carolina Code 58-17-3750
- common carrier: as used in this article shall include the receiver or receivers or other persons or corporations charged with the duty of the management and operation of the business of a common carrier. See South Carolina Code 58-17-3710
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
Any contract, rule, regulation or device whatsoever the purpose or intent of which shall be to enable any common carrier to exempt itself from any liability created by this article shall to that extent be void.
