- Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
Punitive damages shall not be recoverable in cases arising under this article except under circumstances under which exemplary damages are recoverable in cases arising under § 58-17-3950.
