§ 53-8-1	Contracts which may be oral
§ 53-8-2	Contracts required to be in writing–Statute of frauds

§ 53-8-5	Execution of contract in writing supersedes oral negotiations or stipulations
§ 53-8-6	Oral contract–Alteration in writing by consent of parties
§ 53-8-7	Alteration of written contract without new consideration

Beneficiary: A person who is entitled to receive the benefits or proceeds of a will, trust, insurance policy, retirement plan, annuity, or other contract. ^{Source: OCC}
Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
Fraud: Intentional deception resulting in injury to another.
Lease: A contract transferring the use of property or occupancy of land, space, structures, or equipment in consideration of a payment (e.g., rent). ^{Source: OCC}
Person: includes natural persons, partnerships, associations, cooperative corporations, limited liability companies, and corporations. See South Dakota Codified Laws 2-14-2

Statute: A law passed by a legislature.
