Terms Used In Tennessee Code 20-13-105

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.

No appeal shall lie from any deposit order until after it has been fully complied with, nor shall any supersedeas be granted therein until after the deposit order is fully complied with.
