Terms Used In Tennessee Code 45-7-127
- Licensee: means a person licensed under this chapter. See Tennessee Code 45-7-103
- Person: means any individual, general partnership, limited partnership, limited liability company, corporation, trust, association, joint stock corporation, or other corporate entity identified by the commissioner. See Tennessee Code 45-7-103
A person shall not engage in the business of money transmission on behalf of a person not licensed under this chapter or not exempt pursuant to § 45-7-104. A person that engages in such activity provides money transmission to the same extent as if the person were a licensee, and is jointly and severally liable with the unlicensed or nonexempt person.
