Terms Used In Tennessee Code 47-26-1113
- Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
- Commissioner: means the commissioner of agriculture or the commissioner's duly appointed representative. See Tennessee Code 47-26-1102
If the commissioner suspends or revokes a serviceperson/service agency license, the revokee may appeal the decision through the appropriate court of law in Davidson County.
