Terms Used In Tennessee Code 62-27-105

  • Commissioner: means the commissioner of commerce and insurance. See Tennessee Code 62-27-102
  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • Polygraph examiner: means any person who purports to be able to detect deception or verify truth of statements through instrumentation or by means of a mechanical device. See Tennessee Code 62-27-102
(1) The commissioner shall issue rules and regulations necessary for the administration and enforcement of this chapter and shall prescribe forms to be used in connection with it.
(2) The commissioner shall prescribe rules requiring continuing education as a prerequisite for renewal of licenses as polygraph examiners in accordance with § 62-27-129.
(b) The commissioner shall have the right and power to contract for the services of any licensed qualified polygraph examiner to assist with the administration and analysis of polygraph examinations.
