Terms Used In Tennessee Code 8-39-104
- Retirement: means withdrawal from membership with a retirement allowance granted under chapters 34-37 of this title. See Tennessee Code 8-34-101
- State: means the state of Tennessee. See Tennessee Code 8-34-101
Funds for the payment of the allowances provided by this part shall not be taken from the funds of the teachers’ retirement system now in effect in this state, but there is appropriated a sufficient sum from the general fund to carry out this part.
