Terms Used In Texas Education Code 107.01
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
The Texas Woman’s University System is a woman-focused system composed of:
(1) Texas Woman’s University; and
(2) any other institution assigned by law to the governance, control, jurisdiction, and management of the board of regents of the system.
