Terms Used In Texas Health and Safety Code 485.015

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.

A proceeding for the failure to issue or renew a volatile chemical sales permit under § 485.012 or for an appeal from that proceeding is governed by the contested case provisions of Chapter 2001, Government Code.
