- Person: includes corporation, organization, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, association, and any other legal entity. See Texas Government Code 311.005
- Trial: A hearing that takes place when the defendant pleads "not guilty" and witnesses are required to come to court to give evidence.
A juvenile board shall establish a policy that specifies whether a person who has been transferred for criminal prosecution under § 54.02, Family Code, and is younger than 17 years of age may be detained in a juvenile facility pending trial as provided by § 51.12, Family Code.
