- Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
- Year: means 12 consecutive months. See Texas Government Code 311.005
A claimant’s right of appeal with respect to a claim determination by the association is governed by the association’s plan of operation. A claimant must bring an action, including an action for declaratory relief, challenging denial of a claim not later than one year after the date the claim was denied.
