Terms Used In Texas Local Government Code 8.023
- Municipality: means a general-law municipality, home-rule municipality, or special-law municipality. See Texas Local Government Code 1.005
If the mayor receives the petition, the mayor shall order an election on the question of the change to be held in the municipality.
