- Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
Payments made by the lessee to the owner of the surface as provided in this subchapter and acceptance of the payments by the owner of the surface are in place of all damages to the soil.
