Terms Used In Texas Occupations Code 1956.101
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
In this subchapter:
(1) Repealed by Acts 2007, 80th Leg., R.S., Ch. 1316, Sec. 5, eff. September 1, 2007.
(2) “Motor vehicle” has the meaning assigned by § 541.201, Transportation Code.
(3) “PCB-containing capacitor” means a capacitor that contains polychlorinated biphenyls and is regulated under the federal Toxic Substances Control Act (15 U.S.C. § 2601 et seq.).
(4) “Person” means an individual, corporation, partnership, sole proprietorship, or other business entity.
