Terms Used In Texas Parks and Wildlife Code 13.103

  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.

The commission by rule shall prohibit inappropriate commercial advertising in state parks, natural areas, historic sites, or other sites under the jurisdiction of the department to preserve the integrity of the sites and to minimize distractions that may interfere with the enjoyment of the sites by visitors.
