- Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
If the district sues to recover a civil penalty or for injunctive relief under this chapter, or to recover any fee or charge under this chapter, the court may include in any final judgment in favor of the district an award for damages, the recovery of court costs, and reasonable attorney’s fees.
