- Remainder: An interest in property that takes effect in the future at a specified time or after the occurrence of some event, such as the death of a life tenant.
If any provision of this part is held to be invalid, unconstitutional, or otherwise held to be inconsistent with law, the remainder of this part is not affected and remains in full force.
