63L-11-201. Public Lands Policy Coordinating Office — Executive director — Appointment — Qualifications — Compensation.

There is created within the Department of Natural Resources the Public Lands Policy Coordinating Office to be administered by an executive director. |

- Advice and consent: Under the Constitution, presidential nominations for executive and judicial posts take effect only when confirmed by the Senate, and international treaties become effective only when the Senate approves them by a two-thirds vote.
- Executive director: means the public lands policy executive director appointed under Section 63L-11-201. See Utah Code 63L-11-102
- Office: means the Public Lands Policy Coordinating Office created in Section 63L-11-201. See Utah Code 63L-11-102
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes a state, district, or territory of the United States. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5

The executive director shall be appointed by the governor with the advice and consent of the Senate and shall serve at the pleasure of the governor. |
(3) |
The executive director shall have demonstrated the necessary administrative and professional ability through education and experience to efficiently and effectively manage the office’s affairs. |

(b) |
The office space for the executive director and employees of the office shall be in a building where the Department of Natural Resources is located. |
