- Parent-child relationship: means the legal relationship between a child and a parent of the child. See Utah Code 78B-15-102
- State: means a state of the United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the United States Virgin Islands, any territory, Native American Tribe, or insular possession subject to the jurisdiction of the United States. See Utah Code 78B-15-102
Unless parental rights are terminated, a parent-child relationship established under this chapter applies for all purposes, except as otherwise specifically provided by other law of this state.
