- Town: shall include city and wards or precincts therein; "selectboard members" and "board of civil authority" shall extend to and include the mayor and aldermen of cities; "trustees" shall extend to and include bailiffs of incorporated villages; and the laws applicable to the inhabitants and officers of towns shall be applicable to the inhabitants and similar officers of all municipal corporations. § 857. Decision; written and filed
The award of the selectboard shall be in writing, signed by a majority of them, and they shall lodge it, or a certified copy thereof, in the office of the town clerk. The clerk shall keep it on file, and the selectboard shall deliver a copy to each of the interested parties. Such award shall be binding on the parties.
