Terms Used In Vermont Statutes Title 19 Sec. 1508

  • Agency: means the Agency of Transportation. See
  • highway: includes rights-of-way, bridges, drainage structures, signs, guardrails, areas to accommodate utilities authorized by law to locate within highway limits, areas used to mitigate the environmental impacts of highway construction, vegetation, scenic enhancements, and structures. See
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States may apply to the District of Columbia and any territory and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. See

§ 1508. Matching funds

The State Treasurer, with the approval of the Governor, is authorized to advance against future Transportation Fund revenue not to exceed $3,000,000.00 as the Agency may certify necessary to match federal aid highway funds, whenever these funds are made available to the State.
