  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States may apply to the District of Columbia and any territory and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. See

§ 2798. Designation decisions; nonappeal

The designation decisions of the State Board under this chapter are not subject to appeal. (Added 2013, No. 59, § 9.)
