  • Audiology: means the application of principles, methods, and procedures related to hearing and the disorders of hearing, and to related language and speech disorders, which includes all conditions that impede the normal process of human communication, including disorders of auditory sensitivity, acuity, function, or processing.   • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States may apply to the District of Columbia and any territory and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. See

§ 3305. Audiologists; Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology Interstate Compact privilege to practice

(a) Vermont is a member state of the Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology Interstate Compact. Applicants for a privilege to practice audiology shall be subject to the requirements prescribed under chapter 87, subchapter 2 of this title.

(b) Individuals with a privilege to practice issued by a member state of the Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology Interstate Compact may practice audiology in the State subject to the requirements of chapter 87, subchapter 2 of this title. (Added 2023, No. 36, § 3, eff. July 1, 2024.)
