Terms Used In Vermont Statutes Title 6 Sec. 2933

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.

§ 2933. Appeal to Supreme Court

When any application for a rehearing is denied, or if the applicant is aggrieved at the decision on rehearing, the applicant may appeal to the Supreme Court. (Added 1965, No. 175, § 53; amended 1971, No. 185 (Adj. Sess.), § 18, eff. March 29, 1972.)
