Terms Used In Vermont Statutes Title 9 Sec. 2726

  • Person: means both the plural and singular, as the case demands and includes individuals, partnerships, corporations, companies, societies, and associations. See
  • Secretary: means the Secretary of the Agency of Agriculture, Food and Markets or his or her designee. See
  • Weights and measures: means all weights and measures of every kind, instruments and devices for weighing and measuring, and any appliances and accessories associated with any or all such instruments and devices including electric vehicle supply equipment available to the public, as defined in subdivision 2730(a)(14) of this title, but not including meters for the measurement of electricity, gas (natural or manufactured), or water when they are operated in a public utility system. § 2726. Suspension or revocation of certificate

The Secretary may suspend or revoke the certificate of any registered dealer or service person when he or she is satisfied after a hearing, upon 20 days’ notice to the registrant, that the registrant has violated any provision of this chapter or any rule issued pursuant to this chapter, or when a person licensed pursuant to this section has been convicted by a court of violating any law relating to weights and measures.
